Timo Waldner

Timo Waldner was born in 1996 in Basel where he grew up and went to school. In 2014 he graduated the Fachmatura in the fields of art and design. He then attended the School of Design in Basel where he completed the preliminary course in 2015. In the same year he founded together with Joel Bubeck the studio wandART as a personal life project. Timo has been drawing passionately since his early childhood. In the course of his childhood and youth, he continued to pursue art as a mean of expression and experimented with many different methods and styles. These experiences form the background of his today’s work. In puberty, Timo started drawing with spray cans as well. Since then, the clacking of the can at the train tracks has shaped him more than anything else and can be felt throughout many of his works. Timos’ style is characterized by a great artistic diversity and ranges from classical acrylic painting to sculptural works.

Joel Bubeck

Joel Bubeck was born in 1994 in Basel. He grew up in the Claraquartier in Basel, went to the WBS school where he completed his compulsory schooling in 2010. During this period of time he worked in the artistic field, especially musically in a band. After graduating from the WBS, he attended the Basisplus where he began to devote himself to drawing. After the 10^th school year followed an apprenticeship as a carpenter. After completing his apprenticeship, Joel completed the civil service at the Claraspital. At that time, he devoted himself to many artistic activities and gaining experience for his artistic and technical skills through various influences. In 2015, he founded together with Timo the studio wandART where he acts as a company owner. Additionally, he is a tattoo artist in the studio founded by him called „Stächereie“.

Loris Marrone

Loris Marrone was born in 1992 in Lausanne. His father is Italian and his mother is Swiss. In 1994, he moved to Basel where he attended school and graduated in 2009. This was followed by an apprenticeship as a car mechanic, which Loris successfully completed in 2012. Early on he noticed that he did not live up to a traditional way of life and longed for independence and flexibility in his professional life. After spending another two years working as a mechanic, he decided to start his own business in 2014 not at least to devote himself fully to art. He learned from a friend the technique of tattooing and opened a tattoo studio with friends, which they called „Tattoostübli“. In the following years he worked mainly as a tattoo artist, in 2017 he got hired as a freelancer by the already existing studio wandART. Since then he enriches the work of the studio with his artistic skills, his creativity and spontaneity in his art work.

Dominik Baumann

Dominik Baumann was born in 1994 in Bern and grew up in Worb. He completed his compulsory schooling in Kiesen and began an apprenticeship as an advertising technician, which he successfully completed in 2014. After his civil service he attended the Propädeutikum for Art and Design in Bern, where he graduated in 2016 and began in the same year a degree in Visual Communication at the College of Design in Basel. In his artistic career, his extraordinary talent as a typographer stands out first. His passion is also shown in graphic and vector-based works. Nevertheless, he drew his motivation to come to Basel from the love of graffiti. Keen to explore the Basel art and graffiti scene, he soon became acquainted with the members of the already existing atelier wandART. In 2017, he signed a contract as a freelancer and since then he enriches the team with his skills in the graphic field and as a typeface painter. Today he studies next to his occupation in the studio wandART at the Hyperwerk at the College of Art and Design.
